In the early morning of Saturday, 2nd May, William Horsfall was buried at Huddersfield Parish Church. The brief report in the Leeds Mercury made it clear that the matter was not made into a public occasion and was conducted early in the morning, presumably to avoid hostile crowds and the possibility of disorder - "few people knew till the funeral was over."
As reported in the Leeds Mercury of 9th May 1812.
