9th October 1812: The Stockport Solicitor, John Lloyd, informs the Home Office that Humphrey Yarwood is now employed as a spy

Private

Sir

We are applying Yarwood at manchester in consequence of the overtures made by some of the 38 discharged from  Lancaster — and I believe he now attends their meetings at manchester, and will communicate any particulars that may be material. —

I expect to find him at Stockport on my return tonight

Your very obedient
humble Servant
J Lloyd

Congleton 9th October 1812

[To: Home Secretary]

This letter can be found at HO 42/128.
